I welcome you to the department of Accounting/Banking and Finance. The requirements for admission into the department is five(5) O’level relevant subjects including Mathematics and English.
Graduates from the department have been gainfully employed in Banks, reputable accounting firms and government ministries.

HOD –  DR. AKINTUNDE PATRICK ADEDIRAN

HISTORY OF THE DEPARTMENT: They department admitted the first set of students into100level in November 3rd 2009 at inception. The department required full accreditation in 2011 and had been re-accredited three times. Since then the department has graduated five sets of students.

Vision: The vision of the university is to provide a well balanced university education without discrimination for the production of versatile graduates with capacity for entrepreneurship for the development of the nation.

Mission: The mission of the university is to create a learning environment for students as well as to cultivate and future the qualities of human beings with a view to contribution towards the economic, scientific and technological needs of humanity.

Philosophy and Objective: The Philosophy of the university is the technological growth and development of a man in the society with a view to becoming self-reliant so that individuals can contribute to the advantage of the nation, in particular, the world in general. In addition, the university will promote honesty and character training into the lives of our students.

The main aims of Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Banking and Finance programme are to:

  • I. Produce experts in Accounting/Banking and Finance with sound academic background that Will equip the graduate with the necessary knowledge to fit into evolving technological advancements in the accounting,banking and finance industry.
  • II. Produce graduate that will be able to proceed to specialized areas of Accounting/Banking and Finance that Will lead to teaching, research and development.
  • III. Equip students with knowledge and skills of decision making; especially the analytical skills needed for recognizing, defining and solving problems.
  • IV. Develop in students, leadership and interpersonal relations skills in management.
