The University is located at Ipetumodu, a town in Osun State, six kilometers (6km) away from Ile-Ife. it is on a parcel of land of about one hundred (100) hectares and is already fairly developed with some infrastructure that will  adequately serve for the institutions permanent site. there is enough room and opportunity for expansion if more land is required in the nearest future.

The University has many surrounding towns serving as feeders and support in all is day-to-day activities i.e economically, socially, politically, technologically, etc.

The surrounding towns include: Ipetumodu, Ashipa, Akinlalu, Moror, Edunabon, Yakoyo, Gbongan and Ile-Ife.

VISION
The vision of the University is “to provide a well – balanced education without discrimination, for the production of versatile graduates with capacity for entrepreneurship for the development of the nation.”

MISSION
The mission of the University is “to create a learning environment for students as well as to cultivate and nurture the qualities of human beings with a view to contributing towards meeting the economic, scientific and technological needs of humanity.”

The philosophy of the University is the technological growth and development of man in the society with a view to becoming self-reliant so that individuals can contribute to the advancement of the nation in particular and the world in general.

GOAL
To produce qualified and high level manpower through training and to ensure that students go through programmes of self developmental education which are competitive and international in content.

OBJECTIVES

OBJECTIVES
(i) To provide equal opportunity to all qualified students for quality education in technology.
(ii) To carry out research which can engender effective and efficient use of our natural resources for the benefit of mankind.
(iii)To provide new career opportunities for young people. 
(iv) To produce graduates of international standard. 
(v) To strive to replace imported technology with local technology and thus make Nigeria technologically the leading nation in Africa.
(vi)To enhance the development of sound moral values which have been seriously impaired and dented in most existing institutions of higher learning and by so doing eliminate students’ unrest, vandalism and cultism.

Muibi Omolayo Opeloye, Ph. D, F.I.S.N, a Professor of Islamic Studies was born to the family of ShaikhIdris Gbadebo Opeloye, the Chief Imam of Ifelandmore than 65 years ago. For his elementary education, he attended Ansar-ud-Deen School, Ogbon- Agbara, Ile-Ife between 1955 and 1961, after which he proceeded to Ansar-ud-Deen Secondary Modern School, Iloro, Ile-Ife between 1962 and 1964.

VICE CHANCELLOR

Professor Benjamin Segun Aribisala is a native of Ikoyi, Ikole local Government of Ekiti State. He had his primary and secondary educations in Ikole Ekiti. He obtained his B.Sc Degree in Mathematics in 1994 from Ondo State University (Now Ekiti State University) and won an award as the best graduating student in his Department. He completed his M.Sc Degree in Computer Science from the Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA) in 1999 and PhD Degree in Computer Science from the University of Birmingham, United Kingdom in 2006.Read More
